Greig uses a combination of technique and intuition to capture the “perfect” shot, a fleeting instant in time at the best possible moment in his photography. With a documentary-style of photography, he captures subtle candid moments in a split second; to create storytelling images that will last lifetime and beyond.
Based in Ottawa Canada's capital at the confluence of the Ottawa River, the Gatineau hills and the historic Rideau Canal UNESCO World Heritage site; with roots in the beautiful Eastern Townships of Quebec where he was born. This Canadian heartland of rolling hills, valleys, waterways, highlands, numerous quaint small towns and villages provides the perfect muse for a photographer. "You can take the boy out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the boy..."
Nothing makes Greig happier than exploring the back roads with his camera searching for that next elusive image of a majestic landscape, dramatic light and beautiful clouds; viewing nature and wildlife along the way. He is a freelance documentary photographer specializing in Fine Art Photography; incorporating high definition images, landscape, nature, lifestyle, event, sports, and action photography. Greig completed the Photography Techniques program at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology.
Whether it be wildlife or life in general my aim with these images was to capture the fleeting dramatic light or a moment in time. The defining moment might be at the crack of dawn, in the middle of the night or an interesting event; that I patiently waited for hours or for several days to get what we see in our mind's eye in the final photograph.
